Job description: the successful candidate will provide statistical support to the research activities of the Research Unit and the Department and collaborate to the development and implementation of innovative approaches in data integration and analysis. Duties / Tasks: • Competence in managing and analysing spatial and temporal datasets collected along cross sectional and longitudinal studies at individual, population, community and ecosystem levels. • Comprehensive experience of analysis of variance and covariance, regression techniques (including GLM, GLMM, GAM, GAMM) and multivariate analyses. • Optimizing of survey designs, including the application of power analysis. • Development and application of advance statistical software packages, with ability to develop specific algorithms for the statistical modelling of environmental, ecological and epidemiological data. Requirements necessary for participation: • Master degree in statistics or mathematics; • PhD in statistics, mathematics, geography, biology, ecology, epidemiology and related scientific fields; • At least 5 years post-doc work experience in data analysis and modelling; • Knowledge of written and spoken English (minimum level B2), evaluated during the interview.
