Communications and External Relations Manager.(code “ComMan16”) MEDREG is the independent organization for regional cooperation gathering 25 energy regulators from the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Libya, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey. The overall objective of MEDREG is to contribute to the setting up of an integrated Euro-Mediterranean energy market, through a stable set of rules and technical standards in the region. MEDREG promotes a permanent exchange of know-how, data collection and dissemination of expertise through comprehensive studies, recommendations, reports and specialised training sessions. MEDREG’s specialized WGs and TFs are dedicated to: Electricity; Gas; Environment, RES and Energy Efficiency; Institutional issues; Consumer issues. Required profile: The MEDREG Secretariat is launching a recruitment process, open to members external partners and stakeholders, for the full-time position of Communications and External Relations Manager. The Communications and External Relations Manager, will be responsible for the implementation and development of the MEDREG communication strategy. No of available posts: 1 Place of work: MEDREG Secretariat headquarters in Milan (Italy) Deadline for applications: 10 July 2016 Description of the task: A) Internal Communication: - Maintaining regular relations with MEDREG members (all hierarchical levels) - Managing MEDREG website (members’ area) - Organizing and managing the Communication officers network - Supporting the capacity building and training activities - Reporting regularly to the Presidency and all Members B) External Communication - Managing MEDREG website (public area) - Coordinating MEDREG publications: management, content, layout, promotion - Managing the periodic newsletter on activities, news, events, other - Maintaining regular contact with external stakeholders, organization and updates of contacts, etc… - Ensuring press office and media relations (press releases, interviews, press review, media monitoring and reporting, etc..) - Ensuring the overall coherence of MEDREG messages through the contribution and supervision of speeches, presentations and statements made by Members on behalf of MEDREG C) Public Relations: - Maintaining high-level, institutional contacts with MEDREG partners and promoting the opening of new network activities (European institutions, international financial organizations, academic and research world, association of energy operators, Governments, think tank, Parliaments, others... JV’s Contract: Type of contract: Full-time contract, starting 1st October 2016 for 1 year duration, with long term contract perspective Renewable: yes Hour/week: 37,5 hours per week from Monday to Friday Salary (currency): : between 30.000 and 40.000€ NET per year, depending on skills and experience Further benefits: none Travel expenses: Per Diem fees according to the EC rules Transfer benefits: none Accommodation: none Other: none Candidate’s requirements: Educational level: - University degree in a relevant field, i.e. media, communications, journalism, political science, international affairs/relations, other - Strong background in corporate and/or institutional communications Professional experience: - Nationality of one of the 21 MEDREG Member countries - preferably 10 years of professional experience in a similar role - Proven oral and written communication skills in English language - Excellent communication and multicultural skills, preferably acquired in international professional environment - Innovative, problem-solver and strong team player - Basic level in Italian, written and spoken - Strong ability to interact at all institutional levels - Availability to travel frequently in Mediterranean countries Preferential requirements - Working knowledge of the energy sector of MENA countries -

Salario minimo: 30000

Stipendio massimo: 40000
